Bio:
Austyn Taylor

b. Rochester, NY, USA 

MFA Alfred University 

A lifetime commitment to character creation, Taylor originally studied illustration and animation. She began sculpting only after a chance encounter with clay discovered while cleaning  out a forgotten backroom while teaching art at a charter school in Colorado. Thrilled to not have to render 3-D forms on flat surfaces, this led to obsession and back to New York to pursue an MFA in Ceramics at Alfred University.  What followed was an ten year journey as a resident artist across the USA, China, Lebanon, Mexico and Denmark.

She currently works from her studio in Sonoma, California.
